Avant garde museum gets international calling card.

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College exhibits contemporary art and hosts significant public events and educational programs. Flat designed and built the website including the supporting content management and email systems.

The overarching objective for the website was to increase the Tang's profile, expand their brand materials, inspire people to visit and become involved with a faraway contemporary art museum, and create an easy to use and manage online communications vehicle.

The art direction of the website has truly expanded the Tang's

identity, particularly as it relates to the building’s architecture. The display of the art, the color palette, and the typography all work together to produce a vibrant yet clean and legible reading environment with a clear hierarchy. And, remarkably, the thousands of pages of content are economically formatted with five content templates
