Aperture Magazine is a quarterly publication of the Aperture Foundation, an organization that supports contemporary photography through exhibition, catalogue and periodic publications. When Aperture needed a firm with breadth of interactive knowledge and visual sophistication to bring their sixty-year magazine archive online they chose to work with Flat.
Collaborating closely with Aperture Flat re-imagined what a magazine archive could be online. We respected both the sequencing and historical significance of the original publications while creating more than an online representation of a magazine.
